Has Farhan Akhtar OPTED OUT Of Nishikant Kamat’s Film With Sanjay Dutt?
As per reports, even before the official remake of Tamil movie Jigarthanda could go on floors, Rock On actor Farhan Akhtar has opted out of the film...
Farhan Akhtar is longer a part of the Tamil remake of the
film Jigarthanda which also stars Sanjay Dutt and is being directed by
Nishikant Kamat. As per reports, post the failure of Lucknow Central, the
actor-producer has put on his thinking cap and has been revising his strategies.
We can’t blame the multi-talented filmmaker, as his last
outing Lucknow Central did not garner a good response at the box-office. Prior to
Lucknow Central, even the sequel of Rock On! could not set the cash registers ringing. The film
featured Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor,Purab Kohli, Shashank Arora and Prachi Desai.
Even his crime thriller Wazir which was directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, did not do well at the box-office. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles alongside Aditi Rao Hydari and Manav Kaul in supporting roles. John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh made special appearances.
On the other hand even Sanjay Dutt’s comeback project
Bhoomi did not set the cash registers ringing and turned out to be a disaster. Dutt is also miffed with Omung Kumar post the
failure of the film and has also opted out of The Good Maharaja which was to be
directed by the Bhoomi director. The film is a biopic based on the life of Jam
Sahib Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji.
Looks like Farhan might have thought about all these factors and would have decided to rethink about the Tamil remake of Jigarthanda.
